Telling stories from the hills — through a lens, a start line, and occasionally a text editor. Based in the UK, usually found outside.
I photograph races, organise them, and sometimes run them — from village recreation grounds in Essex to the trails above Chamonix. The thread through all of it is the outdoors, and the people who show up for it.

Photography for Amazon's Sustainability Demo Day at the Barbican, London — I shot a set of images and handled 100% of the editing, on work experience with Many Makers. The photos were used by Amazon.
A community 1k, 5k and 10k I organised through the Essex countryside — start line, marshals, bake sale and all. Race photography by Joel Wood (Cambridge Visuals).

Trail races, alpine valleys, fell tops, climbing walls and cold lakes — most of it shot on an iPhone 15, some of it on film.

About
I'm Reuben — a photographer, event organiser and occasional filmmaker from the UK. I spend as much time as I can in the hills: running trails, climbing, swimming in cold lakes, and photographing all of it along the way.
I've shot event photography used by Amazon, organised the Newport Fun Run — a community 1k, 5k and 10k through the Essex countryside — and made short films, including a 48-hour film challenge entry and a UTMB 2024 diary from Chamonix.
Right now I'm on a gap year, exploring where photography, outdoor brands and a bit of code can take me. If you're building something in that world, I'd love to hear about it.
